You might ask yourself: Why another community?

There is already:

So why did we see a need for another community?

What we found is lacking

  • Some of the communites are not english speaking
  • Most of the communities are behind an account wall and not fully public accessible / searchable
  • No active content provider from the community itself behind it

This led us to the move to launch a dedicated community that orignates out of the gatherings at ecoCompute.

We also tried Reddit (some of you might have noticed), but sadly the community got banned right away bc we started with too many starting posts :confused: - No unban possible anymore sadly

What can you expect

  • Daily TLDR; about the conference talks from ecoCompute 2025 so you get a nice overview without reading through all the slide decks
  • Weekly curated updates on papers and news from the industry - Our ambition is to NOT duplicate or re-post stuff that you already have seen in the GSF Newsletter, the CAT Newsletter or any other weekly mailings out there - We aim to serve individual and fresh infos
  • 3-Monthly mini online sessions for the community where you can list to a small amount of talks and re-connect with friends from the conferences.

This is our starting setup and we believe this community will grow, same as the conference, with your help, ideas, critique and any other input.
